Welcome to St. John’s Lutheran Church of Rural Gilman! We hope that you will enjoy browsing our website as you discover what we have to offer.
St. John’s is a member of the ELCA and has been in existence for more than 100 years. We have endured many challenges over those 100+ years, including a lightning strike that destroyed the congregation’s original church building in 1969. Since that time, we have been meeting in a red brick schoolhouse on the corner of highway “H” and “S”, directly across the road from the original location.
In spite of the ups and downs through the years, St. John’s continues to pursue our mission to reach out to all who are in need of care and compassion. We are committed to welcoming everyone to worship with us as we spread the Word of God and offer the hand of fellowship to our guests.
Join us on Sundays for Sunday school at 9:30am and worship at 10:30am. Come and see what we have to offer!
